![]() There are tons of difficult jumps and obstacles in the way, and messing up in at least one section of the game is pretty much inevitable. This jumping square game can be pretty frustrating. ![]() The most important qualities to have when playing Big Tower Tiny Square 2 is to have patience and learn from your mistakes. Players will have to be extremely skilled and patient if they are hoping to make it to the end and save the pineapple. This may sound easy, but there are giant jumps, enemy lasers, and never-ending portals in your way. ![]() The goal of the game remains the same – make it to the top of the giant tower and retrieve your beloved pineapple. It loops a bit strangely (it sounds like it stops for a fraction of a second before looping), but that didn't bother me too much. The graphics are basic, but they do their job, and there's something appealing about a game where we can see so much at once, even if the single elements of the thing we're looking at are all basic. So yeah, definitely give this a try.To those of you who have been itching for a true sequel to the classic jumping square game Big Tower Tiny Square, the wait is over! Big Tower Tiny Square 2 is bigger, bolder, and more action-packed than ever. It kept me pumped from beginning to end, being appropriately epic while still evoking a bit of a Christmas spirit with the typical bells. That, for some reason, gives us an awesome perspective of just how huge an endeavor is ahead of our little square friend, making us all the more satisfied when we finally finish climbing that gargantuan tower.Other than the gameplay, there's also the song that plays throughout the game, and it is pretty awesome. A few parts are really, really unforgiving, but never unfair.Another very interesting thing is how we can see a lot of the playing field at once, by virtue of the tiny sprite. First of all, because every platforming section is carefully made to be challenging (even frustrating at times) but never in an unfair way (that is, the mechanics are consistent, nothing catches you by surprise, and trial-and-error is kept to a minimum). Pretty nice game in general! The mechanics are pretty basic modern platformer mechanics, with regular jumps, wall jumps, and a series of different obstacles, but the game utilizes them pretty well. Yet they all work together, brought into a compelling whole by the enlivening contrast between the riverwalk’s modern design and classically inspired Wacker Drive and the way the pathway lets people get close to the water. ![]() There’s everything from a Chicago Vietnam Veterans Memorial to bars and restaurants. The downtown riverwalk, which lines the river’s south bank, is a smashing urban design success because it contains a sequence of roomlike outdoor spaces that are carefully choreographed and curated. The architects, New Haven, Conn.-based Pelli Clarke Pelli, are working on the design for developer Hines and the site’s longtime owners, the Kennedy family. The company’s wish list includes a sign atop the building, which would be a glassy version of 30 Rockefeller Plaza, the art moderne centerpiece (and masterpiece) of New York’s Rockefeller Center. In case you haven’t been following this saga, Salesforce is said to be considering a lease of 500,000 square feet or more in the proposed third and final tower in the Wolf Point development along the river.
